We’re looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to strengthen corporate communications, support business growth, and enhance brand reputation across multiple international markets. Operating within a high-growth, technology-led environment spanning defence, security, aerospace, and digital domains, this role will play a key part in shaping how complex capabilities and mission-critical solutions are communicated to global audiences. You’ll work within a central communications function, partnering with senior leadership, business development, and regional teams to deliver integrated communications strategies aligned with corporate priorities. The Role: This is a senior, high-impact position suited to a communications professional with experience in defence, security, aerospace, advanced engineering, or enterprise technology environments. You’ll be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, navigating a fast-paced, international business with multiple stakeholders, regions, and competing priorities. Key Responsibilities: Support the development and execution of corporate communications strategy across international markets. Deliver integrated communications plans aligned with business growth, campaigns, and strategic objectives. Build and strengthen brand reputation across defence, security, and technology sectors. Support strategic campaigns linked to bids, programmes, partnerships, market entry, and corporate milestones. Produce high-quality written content including press releases, executive messaging, thought leadership, speeches, case studies, and internal communications. Support delivery of multimedia content including video, photography, motion graphics, podcasts, and digital campaign assets. Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to develop compelling visual storytelling and content. Manage media relations activity across priority markets, with a focus on the UK and Europe. Identify and secure speaking opportunities, awards, and profile-building platforms. Work closely with senior leadership, country teams, business development, and marketing functions. Provide communications counsel to executives and internal stakeholders. Support issues management and crisis communications as required. Ensure global message consistency while adapting outputs for regional audiences. Monitor industry trends, geopolitical context, media coverage, and competitor positioning. Profile & Requirements: Significant experience in communications (typically 8 years). Proven track record within defence, aerospace, security, government technology, advanced engineering, or enterprise IT environments. Experience operating in international or multi-market organisations. Strong understanding of the UK defence landscape; broader European or global exposure advantageous. Experience supporting complex B2B, institutional, or government-facing organisations. Demonstrated success in strategic communications, reputation management, and media relations. Experience delivering multimedia content and integrated digital campaigns. Experience advising senior executives and leadership teams. Ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities across geographies. Skills & Attributes: Exceptional writing and editing skills in English (additional languages advantageous).
