Job planning will be used to reflect the needs of the department, ensuring that contracted work is appropriately remunerated. An initial job plan review will be undertaken by the Clinical Director after 3 months and annually thereafter, or if the work pattern changes. Any additional PAs contracted by the Trust will be agreed as a separate part of the job plan by mutual consent based on the service needs. Closing Date: 31.05.2025 Assessment Date: W/C 15.06.2026 (Date TBC) Interview Date: 26.06.2026 Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Medical Degree MRCOG ATSM Urogynaecology and vaginal surgery Desirable criteria MD or equivalent Higher Degree or evidence of relevant research Registration Essential criteria Full GMC Registration (GMC Licence to Practice is mandatory before employment commences) Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview) or CESR (must be on Specialist Register at time of applying) Experience Essential criteria Labour ward ATSM or equivalent Ability to perform Gynaecology surgery independently Able to take full and independent responsibility for clinical work and delivering service without direct supervision Experience of guideline appraisal Desirable criteria ATSM in Benign abdominal surgery: open and laparoscopic and/or subfertility and reproductive healthb RCOG ATSM to compliment the skills of the department and the duties of the post Knowledge Essential criteria Understanding of clinical governance and ability to demonstrate ongoing CPD Able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the principles and elements of clinical governance.
