Job Summary
We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our dedicated team, working primarily within hospital environments to support our key client, Iris Care Group. This role is integral to delivering outstanding mental health care services, ensuring that patients receive holistic, person-centred support tailored to their individual needs.
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide expert clinical care to individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering treatments, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary hospital team to deliver the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and formulate personalised care plans in line with clinical best practices.
* Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to treatment regimens and promptly managing side effects.
* Provide empathetic emotional support and therapeutic interventions to patients and their families, fostering trust and recovery.
* Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate integrated treatment strategies.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, complying with NMC standards and all relevant regulatory and hospital policies.
* Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and aftercare planning.
* Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff, adhering strictly to hospital safety protocols and infection control measures.
Requirements
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
* Experience working in hospital-based mental health settings is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders, psychotropic medications, and therapeutic nursing interventions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
* Proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary hospital team.
* Highly organised, with strong clinical judgement and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £23.00-£25.00 per hour
