Job summary
To assess young people with psychosis or possible psychosis. To provide specialist advice to young people, carers and professionals. To liaise and work in collaboration with other agencies in planning and assessing programmes of care.

Main duties of the job
To plan and implement specialist programmes of care for young people following the first appearance of psychosis or for a limited period where psychosis is suspected, including carrying a specialist caseload of clients and acting as care co-ordinator. To liaise and work in collaboration with other agencies in planning and assessing programmes of care.

This role is focussed on providing appropriate, effective interventions and treatments to people with Psychosis and their Carers (including friends and relatives) and their supporters in the community, enabling and assisting them to meet daily health, social care and wellbeing needs, in line with personal recovery goals, and facilitating engagement with mainstream services.

2. 1. Professional qualification and registration in mental health nursing or occupational therapy

3. 1. Broad based post qualification mental health experience, including working with first episode psychosis.
4. 2. Experience of and commitment to multidisciplinary working.
5. 3. Experience of providing clinical supervision to junior staff / consultation for other professionals.
6. 4. Experience of Care Coordination or equivalent role

7. 1. Developing, leading and advising on group / psychoeducational programmes.
