Salary: SCP 24:28 (A GBP 35,412 : A GBP 39,152 per annum) + attractive Local Government Pension Scheme

Harrogate is a town known for its heritage, green spaces and strong sense of community. Were recruiting a dedicated Events and Culture Lead to shape and deliver civic and community events that reflect Harrogates identity and what residents value.
This is a formative role with the opportunity to build a coherent events programme for the Council, working closely with partners, community groups and cultural organisations. Youll bring creativity, structure and strong project management to a developing area of work, ensuring events are safe, inclusive and wellAEUR'managed.
Youll also play a key role in strengthening relationships across Harrogates cultural landscape, enabling collaboration, supporting communityAEUR'led ideas and helping to deliver activity that feels distinctly Harrogate.
What were looking for
We're seeking someone who can bring confidence, creativity and calm leadership to a varied and communityAEUR'focused role. You will have:
* Proven experience designing and delivering public events.
* Strong partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience managing budgets and preparing reports.
* Understanding of safeguarding, EDI and Health and Safety.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and projectAEUR'management ability.
* Proficiency with digital tools and social media.
* IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to undertake) and DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo a check).
