Our client is a leading fit-out contractor who have an excellent reputation for delivering on high end luxury projects across several sectors including residential, hospitality, commercial and retail.
They pride themselves on being a people-orientated company and have a great opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
The Ideal Person:
* Effective communication skills
* 3+ years previous experience as a contracts manager (preferably in a fit-out setting)
* Be willing to travel
* Preparation, negotiation and managing skills
* Proven success in delivering projects
Responsibilities:
* Review Contract details, tender docs and pre-construction information.
* Review tender programme and create construction programme and Information release schedules.
* Initiate site mobilisation and oversee site set up is implemented.
* Hold Pre-start meetings with sub-contractors.
* Travel to projects weekly.
* Liaise closely with the project QS and Site manager to ensure cost control.
* Manage approved sub-contractors to ensure health and safety is upheld and programme requirements are met.
* Monitor live projects for Quality of work, cost, and programme implications.
* Carry out regular CM inspections on site visits.
* Attend project meetings and create regular progress reports.
* Exercise a Pro-active attitude to ensure client requirements are achieved.
* Exercise good Contractual knowledge on JCT & D&B Contracts
* Control and oversee the snag and de-snag of projects using the SnagR system.
* Control and organise the compiling and issue of all CDM H&S and O&M manuals.
* Attend project handovers and demonstrations.
* Hold post contract wash up meetings.
