Do you have experience working in a scale up / start up environment? Have you worked for a company with a lower AOV SaaS offering? Are you a strong Player / Manager equally comfortable managing and delivering? The company are a leading FinTech Software Company, experience huge growth and with a reputation for being a market leader. Following significant recent investment they are looking for a Marketing Director to help develop their already well-established marketing function. With over 10,000 customers, their SaaS solutions are industry recognised and award winning. You will need to be an strong player manager comfortable leading a team but also having a hands on approach yourself. You will need to have experience of working for a PE backed company in a scale up environment ideally for a smaller vendor, and been through the journey of developing a company from an SMB to Mid-Market company. This position sits on the SLT and is fundamental to helping them create and deliver a comprehensive go to market strategy combining demand generation, lead nurturing and workflow management for a busy team to both new and existing customers. Equally experience of scaling and growing existing marketing teams is essential. The role encompasses all aspects of executing a full GTM strategy from inception to reporting. There will be an emphasis on designing and optimising lead scoring processes, ensuring the throughput of content to support both demand generation and lead nurturing campaigns, identifying customer marketing opportunities and exploiting new opportunities. The role will also involve the day-to-day management of a busy team to ensure that deadlines are hit and KPIs are achieved. Reporting into the CMO this role will initially have 3 direct reports with a view to grow. You will need to have experience at least at a Marketing Manager level within a SaaS business. Ideally you will have a background within FinTech organisation and with experience of establishing and managing demand generation marketing functions. Key Areas and Responsibilities Develop and execute multi-channel nurture campaigns to guide leads through the customer journey. Analyse campaign performance and optimise messaging, timing, and segmentation. Create strategies to increase customer value by identifying product sale opportunities. Develop targeted campaigns to upsell, cross-sell, and drive repeat purchases. Foster customer loyalty through events, webinars, and exclusive content. Utilise existing technology (such as Hubspot) and recommend additional technology to automate and optimise nurture campaigns. Develop and maintain sophisticated lead scoring processes. Implement A/B testing to refine messaging, design, and targeting. Monitor key metrics such as engagement rates, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value. Align nurture strategies with overall marketing goals and revenue objectives. Develop and implement customer marketing strategies to increase engagement, retention, and advocacy among customers. Design and execute targeted campaigns, including email, social media, PPC and paid external campaigns Create and manage nurturing programs to guide prospects through the customer journey from discovery to advocacy. Partner with the sale teams to align marketing efforts with customer needs and pain points. Use data analytics to track performance, optimise campaigns, and ensure ROI-driven marketing efforts. Manage and mentor a team of marketers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance. Qualifications & Experience 6 years experience in B2B marketing within the software/SaaS industry, ideally working for a company providing lower AOV solutions into the UK market Good longevity in positions and proven results from previous experience Proven track record in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or customer engagement roles Strong understanding of SME customer needs, pain points and buying behaviours. Experience in designing and implementing lead scoring programmes Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot) and analytics tools Strong analytical skills with experience in segmentation, A/B testing, and reporting. Experience in managing and leading a marketing team Ability to work in a player manager role with a hands on approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
