Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Staffordshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Provide holistic, engaging sessions meeting needs and advancing educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS enhanced check (we can help obtain this at cost)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK, including remote work
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
