Nando's are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our expanding property team and support our restaurant estate across the UK & Ireland. They will be responsible for managing the fit-out of new restaurants, refurbishment of our existing estate as well as capital projects as required.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
1. Sign off and critique drawing package prior to construction
2. To client manage the contractors maintaining great relationships throughout the process of refurbishing a restaurant
3. To manage the clients direct, i.e. all HVAC and equipment ordering and installation
4. To update and communicate the programme and progress to all appropriate persons within Nando’s
5. To ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to including completion of Health & Safety files and store completion files
6. Gain sign off on any refurbished restaurants from Nando’s operations team
7. To co-ordinate the tender process and appoint the best contractor for each project undertaken
8. To manage the costings and works programme so that budgets are adhered to and restaurants are handed over to operations team on time and fully operational
9. To promote best practice within the Project Management function and constantly look to improve processes and procedures
Key Stakeholders:
This role will touch into many different parts of the business, including:
10. Regional MDs, Patraos, RDs
11. Central Support functions, Regional Technical Manager
12. External suppliers/contractors and designers, local authorities, Landlords
The candidate should possess / be:
13. Proven experience (3-5 years+) in Project Management, preferably from a large, multi-site environment
14. Experience of managing internal and external resources
15. Strong critical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving skills
16. Numerical skills with experience in reporting and cost control
17. Ability to interrogate data and propose new initiatives based on those insights
18. Experience in planning meetings, events and associated logistics
19. Excellent organisational skills
20. Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Project & Powerpoint)
21. Excellent written and verbal English
22. Good communication skills
23. A proactive and motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously and within a team

The ideal candidate will be based in the North of England with capacity to travel nationwide for refurb projects.
