About The Job
We are looking to recruit a UX/UI Designer to join us on fast moving, innovative and influential work that is underway in the Defence and Security Sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct user research through usability testing, and data analysis to understand user behaviours and needs.
* Translate research insights into user journeys, personas, wireframes, and prototypes.
* Design intuitive interfaces that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define requirements and refine solutions.
* Create high‑fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using industry‑standard tools.
* Iterate on designs based on feedback, testing results, and performance metrics.
* Contribute to and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency across products.
* Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and methodologies.
* Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
* Experience with component based design (React).
* Experience designing interfaces for mapping, navigation, and/or planning software
* Ability to create dashboards, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
* Solid visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory.
* Experience conducting or supporting user research and usability testing.
* Ability to present and explain design decisions clearly.
* A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design work and problem‑solving approach.
