As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a talented Post Production Audio Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality broadcast and streaming projects.
The Role
This is a client-facing position requiring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead sessions with producers, directors and voice talent.
You will work across our 5.1 and Dolby Atmos suites, delivering longform and shortform content to UK broadcast and streaming specifications.
You will take ownership of projects from session preparation through to final delivery, maintaining the technical and creative standards expected for broadcast and streaming delivery.
The role suits someone who enjoys working directly with clients, remains calm and positive under pressure, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and professional studio environment.
You will work closely with a small, experienced team where your contribution is visible and valued, playing a meaningful role in the delivery of projects across a wide range of broadcast and streaming work.
This is a fully studio-based role at The East Wing in Newcastle upon Tyne. Due to the collaborative and client-attended nature of the work, remote or hybrid working is not possible for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and run ADR, VO and voice-to-picture recording sessions with talent, producers and agency clients
Tracklay, edit dialogue and design sound elements with sensitivity to narrative and tone
Mix stereo and 5.1 content to UK broadcast loudness standards
Create and manage full mix stems, versioning and final deliverables
Ensure all outputs meet technical specifications, naming conventions and delivery requirements
Maintain rigorous QC standards across all projects prior to delivery
Organise and manage session structures and file workflows across shared storage systems
Prepare sessions in advance to ensure efficient, well-run client-attended bookings
Liaise effectively with producers, editors and post teams to ensure smooth workflows
Represent the studio professionally in attended and remote sessions
Essential Experience & Skills
Demonstrable professional experience working within a broadcast post-production environment
Proven experience mixing longform and/or commercial content for UK broadcasters or streaming platforms
Advanced proficiency in Avid Pro Tools
Strong understanding of UK broadcast delivery standards and workflows
Experience delivering full stems and managing mix versioning
Good understanding of audio signal flow and routing within professional studio environments
Excellent client-facing communication and customer service skills
Solutions-focused with strong problem-solving ability
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Highly organised with a structured approach to managing projects and session preparation
Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining high technical standards
Positive, professional attitude when working with clients and production teams
Desirable Skills & Experience
Relevant technical or software certifications
Experience with drama workflows
Experience mixing in Dolby Atmos environments
Familiarity with plugins such as RX, Waves, Nugen or FabFilter
Experience using remote recording platforms

Working knowledge of Reaper and/or Nuendo in a professional post-production environment

Salary
Up to £35,000, depending on experience.

Additional Requirement
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends in line with production schedules.
