Heritage Tourism Assistant (Navigation House)
Part-time (9 Hours) – Permanent, Every Monday and every other weekend
A2 - £26,403 - £28,142 Per Annum, Pro Rata
North Kesteven District Council is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join the Visitor Venues team; This post puts you at the heart of a dynamic department which is critical in the promotion & delivery of the Council’s heritage services.
Job Requirements:
* A strong interest in heritage, museums, or tourism
* Experience in a customer-facing or public engagement role
* Ability to manage volunteers and work independently (including lone working)
* Reliable, well-organised, and comfortable handling cash
* Flexible and proactive, with excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
* Open and close the site during public hours
* Welcome and engage with visitors to enhance their experience
* Manage online and phone bookings
* Oversee the cottage’s artefact collection in line with required standards
* Operate financial systems
* Plan and deliver public events and activities
* Co-ordinate with volunteers and work closely with the Visitor Venues Team Leader
* Ensure safe, smooth, and high-quality site operation
