DP World are currently recruiting for an Operations Support Manager to join our fast paced site based in Bicester. The purpose of the role is to support the Operations team by monitoring and maintaining site utilisation to ensure sufficient storage within the warehouse.
About the role:
* Monitor and maintain site utilisation to ensure adequate storage capacity and optimal pick-face locations are available to support operational efficiency.
* Manage core WMS functions including location and pick strategies, new client onboarding, and system configuration to support operational needs.
* Oversee the print room function, ensuring all order documentation is printed accurately and on schedule to meet daily dispatch requirements.
* Ensure all operational consumables are adequately stocked and managed to support uninterrupted order fulfilment.
* Liaise with IT on WMS change requests, conducting thorough testing and validation prior to implementation to ensure system integrity.
* Provide daily support for WMS operational issues, ensuring swift resolution to minimise disruption.
* Prepare internal and external reports and presentation packs detailing forecast trends, capacity plans, and operational impacts to support strategic decision-making.
* Conduct process analysis to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and efficiency improvements.
* Coach and develop direct reports, fostering a positive working environment through regular engagement and performance assessment.
Take ownership of people management responsibilities, including absence management, performance management, training, and employee relations.
