Bid Manager
A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join its Building division in Glasgow. This is a key position within the pre‑construction team, responsible for leading the development and delivery of high‑quality bid submissions across a range of sectors. You will play a central role in securing new work, shaping bid strategy, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to produce compelling and competitive tenders.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams to develop winning bid strategies, ensuring submissions are aligned with client requirements and business objectives. This role offers strong visibility within the business and the opportunity to contribute to major project wins.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification through to submission.
* Develop and implement bid strategies to maximise success rates.
* Coordinate contributions from internal teams including planning, design, commercial, and SHEQ.
* Manage input from external consultants and supply chain partners.
* Prepare and review high‑quality written submissions and supporting documentation.
* Ensure all submissions are compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with client expectations.
* Support presentations and interviews as part of the bid process.
* Continuously review and improve bid processes, systems, and content.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Bid Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of procurement processes, tendering, and construction contracts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines.
* Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
