Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride, providing natural service.
* Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying your training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding your store’s performance and your role in contributing to profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out at shift start and end for accurate payment.
* Keeping yourself, colleagues, and customers safe by following security procedures and using safety equipment.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* In the absence of your Shift Leader and Store Manager, possibly running the shift.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
* If this store has a Post Office Local, your duties will include managing daily operations and passing a background check for the Post Office role. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
