Area Manager (Specification Sales)
We’re supporting a respected construction solutions provider in hiring an Area Manager (specification)for their New Build team. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands specification of building solutions, enjoys building long-term relationships and is motivated by developing new business as well as growing existing accounts.
The role:
You’ll be responsible for generating project and specification opportunities across your region. Day to day, you’ll work closely with architects, specifiers and contractors making sure they have the right technical guidance and support. You’ll also play a big part in driving new products, delivering CPDs, and keeping projects moving smoothly through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hitting agreed sales targets by generating specifications and building strong relationships across the construction chain
* Identifying and developing new specialist roofing contractors, while maximising opportunities with existing clients
* Promoting new products in line with business plans
* Delivering CPDs/seminars to showcase the company’s solutions
* Working closely with refurbishment teams to support cross-project success
* Supporting marketing, technical, customer services and accounts where needed
Job Requirements:
* Experience in the construction/external building materials sector (preference is with knowledge of key waterproofing systems)
* A background in specification sales or construction-related relationship management
* Strong ability to develop and maintain contractor and customer relationships
* Confidence delivering presentations and creating detailed written specifications
* A genuine interest in staying up to date with regulations, standards (inc. British Standards), and industry developments
Package:
Basic Salary: Up to £60,000
Bonus: Realistic 1st year OTE £90K, uncapped.
