A co-educational independent day and boarding school in Banbury, Oxfordshire, catering for 500 students and teachers daily. The role involves preparing and serving meals for breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner, with some hospitality and weekend work. Benefits include free on-site parking.
We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie or Junior Sous Chef to join our team at our prestigious Banbury location.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level, with a passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and bespoke menus. Creativity and skill showcase are encouraged.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to provide catering services to pupils and staff.
* Prepare food from scratch using fresh ingredients, adhering to brand standards.
* Maintain food quality standards and control wastage.
* Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen procedures.
Desired skills:
* Interest in food and excellent customer service skills.
* Team player with innovation and passion for quality food.
* Organized with attention to detail.
* Understanding of food costs and wastage management.
* Good verbal and written English skills.
* Experience in customer service or food preparation preferred.
