We’re looking to recruit a Lecturer in Automotive Engineering with excellent industry experience and knowledge. You’ll be teaching across full‑time and part‑time courses at different levels and delivering professional updates that meet the needs of our employer partners. If you do not yet hold a teaching qualification, we can help you work towards one.
What you’ll do
You’ll deliver teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 City & Guilds programmes, helping learners build their knowledge and practical skills. You’ll play an important part in supporting students to progress and succeed in a safe and engaging learning environment. The role also involves developing and delivering courses in exciting, emerging areas such as electric and hybrid vehicle technology.
What you’ll bring
* GCSE maths and English grade C qualifications (or equivalent); you can obtain these during your probationary period.
* Degree or vocational qualification in Automotive or a related subject.
* Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
* Current subject knowledge.
* Knowledge and understanding of excellent teaching, learning and assessment practices and quality assurance competencies.
* IT and e‑learning knowledge.

Attention FE teachers
You could be eligible for a government levelling‑up payment of £2,000‑£6,000 if you teach subjects such as construction, engineering, maths, computing or early years.
