Microsoft Fabric Architect (Contract)

We’re looking for a Microsoft Fabric Architect to lead a greenfield data platform build within a growing organisation looking to modernise its data estate.
You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end architecture, designing and delivering a scalable Lakehouse solution using Microsoft Fabric. This role requires someone who can operate hands-on while also setting direction, standards and best practices across the platform. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll shape the roadmap and drive the solution through to production.
Key Experience Required
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
* Experience building end-to-end Lakehouse solutions
* Good data modelling skills (e.g. star schema)
* Experience using PySpark or Spark SQL
* Building data pipelines from APIs, ERP or SaaS systems
* Working with Fabric pipelines, notebooks and Dataflows
* Understanding of data governance and security
* Able to work independently and lead delivery
Bonus Points
* Experience with Databricks or Azure Synapse
* Power BI modelling and DAX
* Experience building platforms from scratch
* Experience working in organisations with limited existing data structure
