About the Role - Roofing & Cladding Designer
We are seeking an experienced Roofing & Cladding Designer to join our growing business based in Shildon. This Designer position is ideal for a technically strong individual with proven experience in the roofing and cladding industry who can confidently manage design projects from start to finish.
This Designer role is open to both experienced Designers and Senior Designers looking to join a small, flexible company where your input will make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities of the Designer
Produce detailed roofing and cladding design drawings using AutoCAD
Complete the full design process from initial concept through to final issue
Prepare accurate material schedules and manage ordering requirements
Liaise with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
Ensure all design documentation meets required specifications and standards
Support projects through proactive design coordinationEssential Requirements
Proven experience as a Designer within the roofing and cladding industry
Strong AutoCAD capability
Ability to independently manage projects as a Designer from start to completion
Experience preparing and scheduling materials
Strong organisational and communication skillsDesirable Experience
Rainscreen cladding systems
Flat roofing systems
Refurbishment projectsWorking Hours & Flexibility
Typical working pattern: 8 hours per day

Salary
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience, with consideration given to Senior Designer level candidates
