Mechanical Supervisor
Site-based | Midlands to South Coast
A growing M&E contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Supervisor to support the delivery of a high-volume small works and minor projects portfolio.
This is a site-based role covering projects across the Midlands through to the South Coast, including London and surrounding areas. The position suits a hands‑on mechanical professional who can take ownership on site, oversee operatives and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
* Supervising mechanical small works projects across multiple live sites
* Overseeing day‑to‑day site activity including labour, subcontractors, and materials
* Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and H&S standards
* Supporting Project Managers with progress updates, site coordination, and issue resolution
* Carrying out site inspections, toolbox talks, and ensuring compliance with method statements and risk assessments
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders on site
About You
* Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor or Lead Engineer position
* Strong mechanical background (HVAC, pipework, plant, maintenance, or install)
* Experience working on small works, maintenance, or fast‑paced project environments
* Comfortable managing multiple jobs or moving between sites as required
* Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance
* SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
