About the Role Kitchen Porters are required to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen before, during and after all prep and service periods. They are required to be proactive with their job list and communicate effectively with both front and back of house teams. Main Responsibilities To ensure the cleanliness of the Kitchen Visual hazard check of kitchen To clean equipment, utensils, crockery, and glass throughout and after service Operation of the dishwasher Correct disposal of rubbish Cleaning / tidying of kitchen throughout and after service Correct chemicals are used for cleaning purposes following COSHH guidelines Correct PPE is worn throughout shift, full uniform blue trousers & Tops, safety shoes must be worn at all times Unused trolleys and grates are stored and removed correctly Kitchen cleanse is to the standard of safeguard requirements Broken / malfunction equipment to be reported to the Supervisor immediately All staff must clock out and sign off with the senior manager of your department All individuals must work in complete adherence to the company procedures set by Sodexo Live! and Newcastle United Ideal Candidate Essential: Experience cellar management within a large operation with high volume conference and banqueting and special event business essential. National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills essential, providing the ability giving the ability to recruit, train, manage and motivate a skilled cellar workforce. Experience of ordering and delivery process as well as monthly and annual stocktaking essential. Experience of managing EPOS systems both front and back of house. Ability to maintain professional relationships with diverse range of suppliers, team members and guests essential. Experience managing diverse teams. Desirable: Experience working within a sports and leisure/stadia. Extensive knowledge and/or qualification in wine, food pairing and mixology.
