Assistant Store Manager
Astbury Business Consulting is opening a new store at Cyfarthfa Shopping Park in Merthyr Tydfil. The Assistant Store Manager will be heavily involved in the selection and recruitment of the new team and will support the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Store Manager with all day‑to‑day store responsibilities.
* Oversee employees, model effective leadership, and offer excellent customer service.
* Carry out the Store Manager’s duties in the Manager’s absence.
* Participate in training at a nearby existing store until the new store opens.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in fashion retail, preferably in a fast‑paced managerial role.
* Strong track record of leading, motivating, and developing high‑performing teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* Exceptional organisational skills and a customer‑first mindset.
* Deep understanding of the fashion industry and current market trends.
