Job Description
The company are a manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to continued success, require a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Alcester area. Role Purpose:Assemble and test bespoke machinery from design drawings to meet client specifications Salary - £33000 - £37000 per annum Key Responsibilities;
* Build machine structures, sub-assemblies, and final products using hand and power tools, ensuring precise fits for bearings, gears, and shafts. Install hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, and actuators according to schematics.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults during assembly and testing, collaborating with design engineers to implement solutions.
* Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers) to ensure accuracy.
* Adhere strictly to Health & Safety and quality standards (ISO).
Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong experience of mechanical fitting / machine building.
* Strong experience in special purpose machinery and automation.
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and layouts.
* Proficiency in fitting and using workshop equipment.
Key Attributes:Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or within a team. The role is Days - Monday to Friday withinan early finish on Friday.
