Wood is currently recruiting for a Structural Integrity Engineer to support our client within the Operated Assets business in Aberdeen on a PAYE or Staff basis. This role offers hybrid working arrangements of 4 days in office and 1 working from home.

The Role:

1. Responsible for providing subject matter input and consultancy in support of project and client requirements
2. Primary focus on the continuous running of equipment and machinery alongisde production and operations
3. Using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), oversees routine operations and/or maintenance and organise repairs. Involved involved with control and monitoring devices and technology enabled systems. May improve production facilities, reduce breakdowns and associated costs and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes
4. A key aspect of this role is ensuring client satisfaction and requirements are met. A significant degree of planning and resource management, both people and equipment is required

Operated Assets sits with Wood’s Operations EMEA business and is based in Aberdeen. We build long term strategic relationships with clients across each of our 4 sub-service lines: Decommissioning, Operations & Maintenance, Duty Holder and Optimised Energy. We project manage decommissioning scopes and provide skilled people offshore to help our clients get the best out their assets and keep them ahead. We introduce the latest digital and decarb tools Wood has to offer making sure we are continuously driving value for clients and keep making them smarter and faster.

Qualifications:

11. Typically, minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma / apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience

Knowledge, skills and experience:

12. Maintenance data builds and data optimisation projects
13. Development and application of qualitative risk-based maintenance tools
14. Maintenance, repairs, and spares strategy development
15. Best practice in asset management through Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
16. Project management experience (desired)

Personal attributes:

17. Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance consulting theory
18. Diligent and dependable in consistent application of established process
19. Professional demeanour with appropriate interpersonal skills
20. Exceptional written communication [technical report writing]
21. IT Literate (Excel / Word)
22. Flexible - able to comply / adapt to company / client requirements
23. Ability working to and delivering to deadlines
24. Ability to work on own initiative, and provide effective trouble shooting
25. Well organised, observant, good interpersonal and communication skills
26. Display both good judgment and leadership qualities
