About the role:
To assist with the processing of all group payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately and in accordance with current legislation.
This role is based in Harrogate. During the first two months, the successful candidate will be expected to attend the office 3 to 4 days per week to support onboarding and training. Following this period, the role will move to a hybrid model with 2 days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.
A little bit more of the day to day duties:
Preparation and input of payroll data
Minimum wage compliance checks
Payroll reconciliation
Pensions administration and auto-enrolment assessments
Production and distribution of payslips, P45s, and P60s
Generation and distribution of payroll reports
Calculation of average holiday pay for variable pay staff
Maintenance of payroll filing and electronic records
Handling pay-related queries from staff
Preparation and distribution of overtime templates
Maintenance of mileage records for company vehicles
Monitoring payroll KPIs across group companies
Submission of payroll statistics to the Office for National Statistics
Any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Payroll Manager or Group Payroll Manager
More about you:
payroll experience, including starters, leavers, statutory pay and leave
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Up-to-date knowledge of PAYE/NIC regulations
Experience handling pay-related queries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines under pressure
Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
Experience with Automatic Enrolment and pension administration
