Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced IRO / Child Protection Chair to join Bracknell Forest Council.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Chair Child Protection Conferences and related review meetings in person, in line with child protection procedures and statutory guidance.
* Ensure the voice of the child is central to safeguarding arrangements and care planning.
* Quality assure care planning arrangements, ensuring children's wishes and feelings are fully reflected in plans.
* Undertake Independent Reviewing Officer responsibilities in accordance with statutory guidance.
* Contribute to service-wide and directorate-wide quality assurance activity to support workforce learning and development.
* Attend conferences and reviews at Times Square or placement locations as required.
* Attend monthly in-person team meetings.
Working Pattern:
* Full-time
* Hybrid working - in-person attendance required for all conferences and reviews
* Duration until May 2026
Pay Rate:
* £41.33 p/h Umb
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Social Work England Registration
* Extensive experience as an IRO and/or Child Protection Chair
* Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and statutory guidance
* Ability to travel locally and attend meetings in person
