Audit Technical Senior Manager
We are searching for an experienced Audit Technical Senior Manager to make an impact in our Audit Technical Team at RSM UK.
Our National Audit Technical Services (NATS) is responsible for maintaining and driving the technical quality of the audit firm's operational procedures, providing technical support to partners and staff on technical accounting and financial reporting matters, and conducting quality control reviews.
We need to expand our financial reporting and audit technical teams to meet anticipated growth, continue providing technical accounting support, ensure quality, identify efficiencies, and lead on implementing financial reporting changes. This is an exciting time to join as a Technical Senior Manager and be part of our journey.
This role can be based out of any of our UK offices, with some travel expected to regional offices.
Responsibilities include:
* Acting as a financial reporting specialist on complex audits, providing targeted expertise to support high audit quality
* Performing second opinion reviews of technical accounting matters under IFRS and UK GAAP
* Assisting with financial and non-financial reporting consultations
* Drafting internal technical communications and practice aids
* Serving as a point of contact for technical queries from Partners and staff locally and nationwide
What we are looking for:
We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
* Experience as a Manager or Senior Manager within a technical team, or experience working on audit methodology in larger firms
* Strong IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting knowledge
* Experience reviewing UK Premium, Standard, and AIM listed entity financial statements
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
