Strategic Lead Corporate Parenting
The role of the Strategic Lead Corporate Parenting is a new position in Bolton, providing strategic oversight and leadership for services for looked after children, including care-experienced young people. The role also oversees fostering and residential provision.
As strategic lead, you will bring vision and direction to your heads of service, who manage the teams delivering services to looked after children.
You will be a member of a new strategic leadership team, reporting directly to the Assistant Director. Along with your colleagues, you will be responsible for achieving strategic priorities aligned with the Families First agenda.
You will work closely with the lead member to deliver the corporate parenting strategy and support the work of the corporate parent board.

You must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, be aware of current national drivers and legislation underpinning service design, and have relevant management experience, including leading change programmes for at least three years.

This role is customer-facing under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English.

Position Details
* Grade: Senior Head of Service SCP 58 (£70,697) to SCP 62 (£75,228), plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963
* Contract: Permanent
* Essential Requirement: Full Driving Licence
* Essential Qualification: Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
