Description
Priory Old Vicarage is looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the team. This is a part-time, 30-hour role.
The Old Vicarage is located close to Dewsbury town and offers residential support for seven adult males and females with a range of needs, including adults with learning disabilities, individuals with mental health needs, and people on the autism spectrum.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, keeping spaces organized, and ensuring the environment is well-maintained to create a positive experience for residents and staff.
* Maintain a well-decorated, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the site, following quality standards and statutory regulations.
* Ensure that Priory minimum standards are met in all areas of the site efficiently and promptly, as part of a team.
* Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the unit and grounds, ensuring windows and doors are secured appropriately.
* Perform compliance testing such as fire alarms, bed inspections, and vehicle checks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.

Experience in building, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical disciplines is desirable.
