About Our School
With class sizes capped at just 6 pupils, each classroom is supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. We cater to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as various diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and mild to moderate learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to shape our provision and enrich the lives of our pupils while enhancing your own teaching skills in a rewarding environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviors.
* Monitor pupil progress and collaborate with staff to meet individual needs.
* Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
* Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Degree-level education
* Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level
* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH
* Strong behavior management skills
* Commitment to professional development
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
