Overview
You will work with the Head of Technical Reporting to ensure completion of the Group’s annual and interim report and statutory accounts for subsidiary entities. You will be a key contact in liaising with the external auditors to ensure a timely and efficient audit process. You’ll be joining a close-knit team currently in place.
Key Accountabilities
1. To work cross-functionally to successfully complete the Group’s Annual Report and Interim Report to specified deadlines
2. Support finance colleagues across the business on complex/non-routine accounting matters
3. Ensure the Group remains fully prepared and compliant with new accounting standards as they need to be adopted/ implemented
4. A key point of contact for the Group’s external auditors to ensure the seamless completion of the year end audit to specified deadlines
5. Completion of Group entity statutory accounts in line with agreed reporting timeframes
6. Assisting with complex technical accounting such as acquisition accounting, share based payments, earnings per share, hedge accounting, pension accounting and FX
7. Assist with statutory and monthly consolidation and group accounts
8. Additional Group projects as required
About you
9. Strong analytical ability and excellent numerical skills
10. A results driven approach that focuses on accuracy and attention to detail
11. Proven experience and ability to work to tight deadlines
12. Ability to work independently, whilst also being a team player
13. Excellent IT skill
14. Qualified chartered accountant, preferably attained in a Big 4 firm, with relevant post qualification experience.
15. PLC experience would be an advantage
16. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, inclusive of IFRS 16 and IFRS 9 experience.
17. Experience preparing/auditing Group consolidated accounts for large multinationals.
