* Be a trusted adviser for external suppliers by providing guidance, responding to production queries and providing regular performance feedback.
* Act as a point of contact between RSC journals’ editorial teams and external suppliers and between authors and external suppliers, communicating issues and responding to queries.
* Be encouraged to apply knowledge of production processes to identify problems and suggest solutions.
* Have the opportunity to lead or contribute to projects within the team or on a wider scale with other teams across the journals department.
* The successful candidate will receive full on-the-job training.

Qualifications

* A good honours degree in science (chemical science normally preferred).
* Excellent written English skills and the ability to identify, correct and explain issues in the fundamentals of English grammar.
* Knowledge of STM publishing (beneficial but not essential).
* A proactive approach to problem solving.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, to prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines.
