Care Team Manager, Southampton, SO16. Opportunity available for an experienced manager to oversee the running of a large home care team assisting a young adult with complex care needs. Hybrid role. 3 x 9 hours shifts. Offering £32,000.00 + Gross per Annum.
Nearest Tube/Station: Not applicable. A driver with your own car is essential.
Wage/Salary: £23.00 Weekdays, £24.00 Weekends. Gross per Hour, £32,000.00 + Gross per Annum.
Driver Essential? Yes, with own car to travel to the client’s home, meetings, and appointments. Mileage paid.
Essential: A minimum of 2 years experience in management / lead / senior role within health and social care. Female applicants only.
Start Date: ASAP.
Days & Hours: 27 hours per week over 3 days. Working days and times to be mutually agreed. 2 days remote working, 1 day on site with the client and team.
Family/Client Pets: Yes, 2 dogs (living with Ivy’s parents, although visits to Ivy’s home are regular).

About this client: Ivy is 19 years old and is returning home after a couple of years at a residential college. She now has her own self-contained apartment, providing her with independence while remaining close to her family. Ivy has hemiplegic cerebral palsy (left side), a learning disability, is neurodivergent/autistic, has sensory processing difficulties, and drug-resistant epilepsy. She is mobile and verbally communicative but can experience extreme fatigue and requires support with mobility, motor control, and self-regulation. Ivy is lively, humorous, and enjoys engaging and participating in activities.
Overview of role: The team currently includes 10 Support Workers providing 2:1 day care and 1:1 waking night support. The Team Leader manages admin duties; the Team Manager oversees the entire care package, including managing rotas, recruitment, supervisions, and care coordination. The role involves advocating for Ivy to support her independence and working closely with her parents. A detailed job description is available for shortlisted applicants.
Who this job would suit: A hands-on manager experienced in leading teams, care coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Knowledge of CQC standards is highly desirable. The candidate should be client-focused, organized, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
