What will I be doing as a Residential Support Worker?
* Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies
* Contributing to the young persons care plans and any risk assessments, supporting with implementation and reviews
* Supporting young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing
* Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required
Previous experience is not a requirement for this role as we provide 3 weeks classroom training followed by 1 week of shadow shifts to ensure that you feel confident and well equipped to start your new role!
What we are looking for?
* We welcome applications from people who have previous experience in a childrens residential setting or similar role
* People who have the ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly
* A full UK driving licence
* You must also be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations
* Level 3 / 4 Diploma in Childrens & Young Peoples workforce would be great although this is not essential
* Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings and sleep-in duties on a rota basis - our shifts are 7:30am 11:00pm 2 on 4 off and sleep-ins 11:30pm 7:30am (paid at £50 per sleep)
