Leeds City College are seeking a Public Services Coach to join us at our Quarry Hill Campus.
The School of Public Services supports over 400 students on courses from Level 1 to Level 3, preparing them for careers within the emergency services and armed forces and many more sectors.

What You Will Do
1. You will be responsible for a caseload of learners who require coaching and support as part of their planned learning programme.
2. Deliver group sessions that explore a wide range of Personal, Social, health, and economic topics.
3. Support learners to track and monitor progress towards achievement using assessment grades and provide support for learners using online support technology and education platforms.
4. Communicate with parents and guardians of learners to support progression and build positive relationships
5. Identify where learners require an intervention and convene small groups of learners to work on a specific topic related to their course.
6. Identify barriers to learning and implement a range of strategies to overcome barriers.
7. Develop and agree individual learning plans, identify SMART targets and set aspirational goals for learners, liaising with subject specialists and other academic and support staff.
8. Manage learning in a variety of spaces, creating a positive and focused experience and facilitate and participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities with learners.
About You
* A passion and ability to inspire and motivate young people to become our future uniformed services and armed forces personnel, and youth workers.
* Recent teaching or instructing experience that demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
* Ability to be adaptable and flexible towards the requirements of different learner needs.
