What the role is The GIS and Data Officer will support the development and implementation of our work on data services, including our activities for delivering data actions as a key partner for the National Litter and Flytipping Strategy, reporting Key Performance Indicators to the Local Government Benchmarking Framework and ensuring Keep Scotland Beautiful is a leader in local environmental quality data. A valid, full UK driving licence is required for this role. This role is Full Time (35 hours per week) and permanent. What you’ll need to have We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with: Experience in using GIS software, particularly ArcGIS Pro and QGiS; An ability to build data solutions from the ground up; Strong problem solving skills and ability to find creative and innovative solutions; Good working knowledge of data visualisation and use of PowerBI; Experience in data management and database knowledge; Excellent communication skills to create, maintain and enhance working partnerships. Desirable skills include: Awareness of wider environmental data; Basic programming skills for automating tasks and standardising workflows; An understanding of AI software and applications; Experience of maintaining website content.
