YOUR ROLE
We lead the digitisation of global manufacturing and asset‑intensive companies across a broad range of industries including Consumer Goods, Aerospace & Defence, Life Sciences and Energy Transition & Utilities. As a Director in our Intelligent Industry practice you will lead the sales and delivery of projects to create autonomous operations for our clients through the adoption of digital technologies and AI. You will work with leaders in Operations and Engineering functions to define the digitisation strategy, calculate the business case, design the transformation roadmap and lead client teams in adopting new ways of working. You will build teams to deliver such projects and take responsibility for the personal and professional development of the practitioners.
* Growing Capgemini Invent’s business through building our Industrial Asset Management capabilities;
* Developing our people through training the next generation of consulting leaders;
* Building the competitiveness and resilience of our clients in their marketplaces;
* Leading the adoption of AI and associated transformation of business models in key sectors of the UK economy.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth through activities in the following categories:
* Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
* Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
* Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a candidate at Director level, or ready to make that step, who can demonstrate:
* A background in transforming manufacturing and/or utilities operations to deliver a step‑change in performance in asset‑intensive industries through the implementation of digital technologies and AI;
* The business acumen and skills to create compelling business cases for investment and change;
* A passion for leading operational improvements with a focus on employee engagement and empowerment;
* Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organization through enlisting support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions;
* Experience working in a major consulting firm and/or in industry but having a consulting background;
* Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre‑existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be generating about £2 m of annual consulting revenues.

LOCATION & BENEFITS
