Domiciliary Optical Assistant – Dundee & Surrounding Areas

We’re working with a highly respected domiciliary provider who’s looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their team delivering essential eye care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Covering Dundee and surrounding areas, this role offers real variety – no two days are the same. You’ll enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, early finishes most days, and absolutely no weekends.
Important: YOU’LL NEED AT LEAST 12 MONTHS OF OPTICAL EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Running and supporting home-based eye care clinics
* Visiting patients across Dundee, Angus and nearby towns and villages
* Dispensing eyewear, including varifocals, to patients of all ages
* Providing thoughtful, tailored support to elderly and vulnerable individuals
* Working independently or as part of a split clinic setup (Z Clinics)
* Handling an average of 4–12 dispenses per day
Who We’re Looking For
* A confident dispenser with at least 12 months’ in-practice experience
* Happy working solo and taking ownership of the day
* Full, clean driving licence and comfortable with travel
* Acuitas experience is a bonus
* Background in care or audiology is also an advantage
* Compassionate, professional, and easy to get along with
What’s on Offer
* Salary: £27,000
* Company car provided
* Schedule: Monday to Friday only – no weekends
* Holidays: Generous allowance
* Progression: Ongoing training and a clear path for development
