Overview
RAN Test Engineer responsible for validating radio access network performance and functionality across 4G and 5G environments, ensuring high-quality network deployment and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute RAN testing (functional, performance, regression, and interoperability)
* Conduct field and lab testing, including drive and indoor testing
* Validate KPIs (throughput, latency, handovers, call success rates)
* Analyse logs and troubleshoot issues across RAN nodes (eNodeB/gNodeB)
* Support network rollouts, upgrades, and optimisation activities
* Collaborate with RF, core, and transmission teams
* Prepare test reports and provide recommendations
Requirements
* Experience in RAN testing for 4G/LTE and 5G NR
* Understanding of radio protocols and procedures (RRC, MAC, PHY basics)
* Familiarity with tools such as TEMS, Nemo, or similar
* Knowledge of KPIs and network performance metrics
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
