We’re seeking a future team member to become Head of Regulatory & Control Oversight across our Global Custody Operations team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working on a Hybrid basis. (3 days a week in the office).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
* Leading a global team across US, EMEA and APAC locations responsible for Global Custody Operations Regulatory & Control Oversight.
* Coordinates the response, analysis, reporting and preventative action oversight of operational risk events and incidents and all regulatory incidents impacting Global Custody Operations.
* Oversees the effective maintenance and active usage of Custody Operations’ Risk & Control Self-Assessment, inter-affiliate Service Level Descriptions and Key Risk Indicators.
* Performs role of Global Asset Safety Responsible Individual for Custody Operations, (including CASS and CAP), including ensuring controls over a subset of regulatory reporting functions are executed.
* Acts as a point of contact with operational and business change teams on regulatory and sanctions matters, seeking to ensure compliance with associated regulations is considered and adhered to by design.
* Identifies and executes strategies to continuously improve risk and control cultural embeddedness across Global Custody Operations.
* Acts as primary point of contact for Global Custody Operations on regulatory matters, preparing and delivering presentations and papers at a variety of regulatory fora, councils and working groups.
* Manages the performance of assigned staff; coaches team members and provides guidance on project involvement.
* Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contributions, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
* Operations, Operational risk and regulatory knowledge and experience preferred.
* Management experience in financial services preferred.
