Job Title: Line Producer
Type: Project Hire
Location: London – Fitzrovia or film studios based in southeast England
Reporting to: Head of Production
The Line Producer is the individual who has the primary responsibility for the logistics of the production, from pre-production/staging through completion of production/show wrap. The ideal candidate will have past experience in producing feature films and television, project management, strong industry relationships, scheduling, show budget management, excellent communication, interpersonal and client skills, technical understanding of VFX and Virtual Production workflows and most importantly, an impeccable reputation. The focus: - maximize and grow gross margin - reduce and manage costs - preserve client relationships and company culture.
Responsibilities:
1. Scheduling projects, in conjunction with casting, building and maintaining the optimum team while understanding thresholds for quotas, expenditures and company policies
2. Partnering with Creative, Bidding and Finance Departments during development, staging and production.
3. Analyzing client needs, developing VFX, scripts and storyboard breakdowns, client budgets, production and post-mortem planning
4. Developing strong relationships with our Directors, Producers, and becoming a trusted resource for all things visualization
5. Project-based - manage a slate of shows
6. Manage creative teams tracking progress, reporting to HOP and understanding cost report tracking.
7. Working closely with the VFX Producers to anticipate and troubleshoot schedule and budget issues.
8. Ensure production is running smoothly, meeting deadlines and staying on budget
9. Liaise with HoT and develop, support and train Coord, PAs assigned to your team
10. Support Business Development and the Head of Production in any pitching, bidding and change orders of new work
11. Provide accurate progress reports both internally and externally and attend internal management meetings as required
12. Creating a weekly schedule and breaking it down to a daily schedule with PM's and coordinators to clearly map out reviews, revisions, and client milestones, followed by inputting these into Shotgun to be able to create report pages to go through with the Head of Production
Essential Skills:
13. Previous industry experience as VFX Line Producer or Production Manager level
14. Demonstrated ability to train, inspire, and mentor direct reports
15. Strong scheduling abilities
16. Project budget management experience
17. Previous client account management experience and existing industry contacts
18. Expert knowledge of Corporate Gsuite apps (incl. Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.), Shotgrid, etc.
19. In-depth understanding of production workflows and practices
