LGV 1 Artic Driver
Location: Lean Transfer Station in Liskeard Cornwall

We are currently seeking a professional and reliable LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of customers’ waste, while ensuring full compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safely drive and operate LGV Class 1 vehicles as directed by the Traffic Office and Operations Manager.
2. Carry out the efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of customer waste.
3. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations at all times.
4. Promote safe working practices and report any hazards or near misses.
5. Complete routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects.
6. Accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily timesheets and transport documentation.
7. Provide holiday, sickness, and breakdown cover for colleagues when required.
8. Attend training courses, toolbox talks, and team meetings to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
9. Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
10. Support the wider operation with any other reasonable duties as required.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
11. Previous Class 1 driving experience
12. Valid LGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
13. Driver CPC qualification
14. Experience within the waste industry is desirable but not essential

15. Ability to safely manoeuvre LGVs in restricted and confined spaces
16. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
17. Excellent customer service skills
18. Good communication and interpersonal skills
