Supply Desk is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Medway seeking an engaging Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department immediately. This is a full-time role with full teaching responsibilities across Key Stages 3 and 4, running until at least December 2025.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
Take full classroom responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that inspires a love for cooking and nutrition.
Promote safe kitchen practices while encouraging creativity and independence in food preparation.
Maintain excellent classroom management and build strong rapport with students.
Collaborate with the wider DT department to support curriculum delivery and share best practices.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A specialism in Food Technology or Design & Technology with food as a focus.
Recent secondary school teaching experience in the UK (ideally in Food Technology).
Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Food Tech curriculum.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
