Curriculum Support Assistant (English)
Required as soon as possible. Starting Salary: Scale NJC 4 (point 7) £30,288 – Full Time Equivalent. Actual Starting Salary £23,956. 33 hours per week, term time plus five INSET days.
Role and Responsibilities
* Support vulnerable young people in Key Stage 3 and 4 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.
* Provide administrative and curriculum support to the English department, including the preparation and display of curriculum materials.
* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.
Qualifications and Skills
* English and Maths qualifications GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
* Experience of working with students with behavioural difficulties and learning needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents/carers and other professionals.

About The Trust
The Alternative Learning Trust became a multi-academy trust (MAT company number 11788031) in June 2019. There are now four schools within the Trust: The Limes College, North West Kent Alternative Provision Service (NWKAPS), Will Adams Academy, and Saffron Valley Collegiate.
