We are looking for a Ward Clerk/Receptionist to join the Perioperative Admin Team, providing support for the day case unit and associated departments within the Perioperative Team.
Main duties of the job: To function as a member of a multidisciplinary team, undertaking daily administrative and clerical duties specific to the ward and admission areas to support the provision of patient care.

Job responsibilities
Duties will include but are not limited to meeting and greeting patients, relatives and visitors to the ward area, preparing documentation relating to patient admissions, answering the telephone, stock ordering and filing.
Person Specification
Essential
 * Customer service experience
 * Clerical experience with computerised systems
 * Good working knowledge of Windows based and Microsoft Office applications
Desirable
 * Previous experience in NHS or healthcare environment
 * Knowledge of NHS and Trust\'s systems and structures
 * Experienced in the use of the TrakCare electronic patient record system
Qualifications & Training
Essential
 * GCSE Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent)
 * GCSE English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Desirable
 * IT qualifications
