Job Description:
Our client a geothermal engineer site in Cornwall are seeking 3 x power plant operator's to join their team.
What we offer:
1. £30K-£45K per annum
2. Permanent position
3. Monday - Friday
4. 37.5H per week

The role:
6. Managing the safe and efficient start-up and shut-down of critical equipment - Including generators, auxiliary pumps, and other essential plant systems.
7. Operating the plant in compliance with safety and environmental regulations, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
8. Controlling and maintaining auxiliary systems such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, filters, and power systems, ensuring optimal performance.
9. Making real-time adjustments to keep the plant operating within performance parameters, whilst prioritising safety, efficiently, and regulatory adherence.
Requirements:
Essential
10. Apprentice trained or qualified to ONC/HNC qualified in a relevant discipline (electrical, mechanical, process engineering, etc.).
11. Proven experience in a power station operations team or similar industrial setting
12. Solid knowledge of safety protocols and permit to work systems
13. Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate records.
14. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
15. Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role).
Desirable
16. A minimum of one year's experience within electricity generation facilities (or similar)
17. A keen interest in renewable energy and in contributing to Cornwall's transition to a net zero carbon future by 2030
18. Willingness to work in challenging conditions, including heights and with mobile plant equipment, following appropriate training.
