We are seeking a Business Development Manager to create, manage, develop, and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities to deliver profitable revenue growth for the small to medium customer division. The role involves managing and influencing various strategic and operational issues within the new business team. You will have the opportunity to drive sales performance through planned and objective management of sales activities and processes. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring Biffa remains ahead in service offering, business model, and operational methods.
Your core responsibilities
* Proactively and reactively sell profitable new business within a territory to meet targets.
* Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual new business targets.
* Manage a sales territory and prospect lists for business opportunities.
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activities on the Company Operating System.
* Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
* Coordinate with Depot Manager, Regional General Manager, and Regional Commercial Manager to implement sales strategies within the region.
* Act as the primary interface between Biffa and target customers.
* Handle sales prospecting and pricing negotiations.
* Generate a sales pipeline focused entirely on new business.
* Demonstrate a proven track record in selling contracted services.
* Consistently exceed sales targets.
