Job Summary
We are seeking a Specialty Doctor to join the ENT team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The job is based at RLI with Cross Bay work at the same site. You will be contracted for 10 sessions per week, with the option to increase. Broad experience in general ENT is desirable and any sub‑specialty interest will be actively supported. You must have full registration with the GMC and a licence to practice.
Main Duties
The ENT department currently has 5 consultants, 3 Associate specialists, 7 Specialty Doctors and 2 junior doctors (CT1/2 at RLI, FY2 at FGH). We have two H&N Clinical Nurse Specialists and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Specialist clinics include a One‑Stop Head & Neck clinic, paediatric clinics, a Voice and Vertigo clinic. On‑call is 1:4 weekends and 1:8 weekdays. We aim to provide patient care close to home. Our H&N network is with Royal Preston Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary for skull‑base pathology and rhinology. An audiology service is available for adults and paediatrics. There is opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and strong links with Lancaster Medical School. The department is paperless with e‑prescribing and e‑requesting.
