What you'll do
The team supports the financial governance over the Group's investments in Germany, UK, Italy, as well as Vodacom Group. As part of this multinational team, you will contribute directly to driving performance, business partnering, finance transformation programmes (e.g. large-scale, regional cost containment, working capital improvement etc.) as well as identifying and managing risks and the governance of operating companies ("OpCos") and joint ventures ("JVs"). This is an ideal opportunity to develop your knowledge and gain experience of how the Group manages its investments and finance transformation programmes from and end-to-end perspective.
* Performance monitoring and control: lead the financial results review processes with early identification and communication of key issues.
* Lead the preparation of regional cost containment and working capital improvement targets and plans.
* Budgeting and forecasting: provide support and guidance to OpCos (and JVs, where appropriate) during the monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
* Business decision support:provide effective decision support through challenging evaluation of business cases relating to key commercial, cost containment and investment decisions.
* Corporate governance compliance: Lead review of governance requests and materials, identifying issues and briefing key stakeholders accordingly.
Who you are
* ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
* Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in finance.
* Commercial acumen - demonstrate deep understanding of key drivers of value in the telecommunications industry.
* Stakeholder management - ability to build strong and influential senior and cross functional relationships.
* Resilient, 'can do' attitude with bravery and conviction to take initiative, propose ideas and constructively challenge key stakeholders.
